Dry Days Ahead… A Tad Cooler Friday/Saturday… Thursday Forecast Update – 5pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Thursday afternoon! It feels great this afternoon, with a good dose of sunshine. Temperatures will cool into the 40s overnight, as a cold front tracks across the state. Clouds will increase later this evening, with a few light showers across northern Alabama. Widespread rain is not expected tonight.

The airmass will be slightly cooler on Friday and Saturday, but models have trended warmer. Highs will top out in the upper 60s on Friday, with lows in the lower 40s Friday night and Saturday night. Frost is not expected in our area over the weekend. Highs will reach the middle 60s on Saturday, then return into the lower 70s on Sunday.

Clouds increase on Monday, as a weakening storm system impacts west and central Alabama. Rain will spread into the area sometime during the late afternoon or evening on Monday. At this time, severe weather appears unlikely with that event, however, we’ll watch it carefully. Temperatures will remain mild early next week, with no sign of significantly colder air.
