This Sunday was a nice closing to the weekend with temperatures climbing to the lower to mid- 70’s across central Alabama, along with ample amounts of sunshine. Overnight temperatures will drop to the mid- 40’s and skies will continue to remain clear.

Tomorrow, the work week starts off very pleasant. Temperatures will range in the mid 70’s and the clear sky trend will continue during the day. Monday night a very weak front will pass through the state, bringing a few clouds over night while temperature drop to the lower 50’s. The front will bring slightly cooler air helping make Tuesday’s high a little lower than Monday’s.

Next Wednesday another front arrives, bringing the next opportunity for rain for Alabama. Starting Wednesday morning clouds will begin to build across the state as the front approaches from the west. By the afternoon showers and storms will arrive and last into the overnight hours: currently things with this system are continuing to look none severe as we get closer to the event, but continue to check in with us as we continue to monitor it. Thursday morning rain will be coming to an end for Central Alabama and skies will begin to clear-up, especially by late afternoon.

Friday and Saturday next weekend look to be very similar to this past weekend with cool temperatures and plenty of sunshine; however, next Sunday a new system will be developing to the west and will produce the next opportunity for rain.
