Very Warm Days… Storms by Late Week… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon! It has turned out to be a very warm day across the state, with most areas reaching the upper 70s. A few spots made it to 80 this afternoon, under a partly cloudy sky. It seems that spring has made it to Alabama a little ahead of schedule. Conditions tonight will feature mild temperatures, with lows in the upper 50s to near 60. Skies remain partly cloudy overnight, with a south breeze.

Wednesday and Thursday will feature very warm days, with highs in the upper 70s to near 80. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy both days, with a breezy south wind. A few showers are possible over west Alabama on Thursday, but some areas will miss the rain. The best chance of showers and storms on Friday will be over west Alabama, but some models indicate the best rain chance on Friday may actually be a little west of the state. East Alabama will likely stay dry until Saturday, with the upper level low shifting east and impacting our area. Expect a good chance of showers and storms state wide on Saturday, but there will be breaks in the rain.

A few showers will remain possible on Sunday and Monday, but widespread rain is unlikely at this time. Highs will remain in the 70s through the weekend and into next week.

Don’t forget about the time change over the weekend, as we “Spring Forward.” Set your clock ahead one hour Saturday night before going to bed.
