Very Mild Days… Late Week Storms… Monday Forecast Update – 5pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

After a warm and beautiful weekend across Alabama, conditions today have continued the spring feel. Highs have reached the middle to upper 70s across portions of west Alabama, with low 70s over northeast Alabama. Skies remain mostly clear this evening and will remain mostly clear overnight, with lows in the lower 50s.

A few clouds will pass by on Tuesday, with highs in the upper 70s. A few spots could touch 80 on Tuesday. A developing storm system west of Alabama will bring an increase in clouds on Wednesday and Thursday. A few passing showers or storms are possible late Thursday over far west Alabama, but the risk of rain is low. By Friday and Saturday, expect a good chance of rain and storms to move across the area. Rain amounts will be very high west of Alabama, but the system will be weakening a good bit before reaching our area. Our local rain amounts could reach or slightly exceed 1 inch between Thursday evening and Saturday night. Highs will remain in the 70s through the weekend and to start the next work-week.

Don’t forget about the time change over the weekend, as we “Spring Forward.” Set your clock ahead one hour Saturday night before going to bed.
