Another mild and sunny Saturday to kick start the opening weekend of March. Temperatures reached the upper 60’s today, and we will see similar conditions tomorrow. Overnight tonight, temperatures will cool into the upper 30’s so keep the jacket handy tonight, but tomorrow, full sunshine returns and temperatures will steadily climb into the upper 60’s, to near 70°. A light easterly breeze will make things very pleasant Sunday afternoon.

A few clouds will pop up across the sky Sunday night as a low pressure system sweeps through the Great Lakes; however, we will remain dry. The first half of the work week will be warm and pleasant. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70’s Monday through Friday with lots of sunshine expected Monday and Tuesday.

A few clouds start to move in on Wednesday, although any rain should remain to our west through the day on Wednesday. Better chances for rain and thunderstorms arrives Thursday into the weekend. Temperatures will take a bit a of dip on Friday, with high’s in the low 70’s with those showers and thunderstorms. The system that brings us the rain will be slow to push the rain out, so from Thursday through Saturday there will be several rounds of showers and thunderstorms across the Deep South. Currently, the heaviest amounts of rain will remain to our west and along the Gulf Coast; however, we could see 1-2″ of rain with this system.
