Cooler Days Ahead… Nice Weekend… Wednesday Forecast Update 4pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Wednesday afternoon! After yesterday’s strong to severe storms, the National Weather Service has found 2 tornado paths in west Alabama. One track was near Reform in Pickens County. This one was rated EF-0… A second tornado was found in northern Marion County. That one was rated an EF-1…

Our local weather is much colder today, but we still have a few showers on radar, as a deep upper level low passes just north of the state. As the upper level low moves away from Alabama, the scattered showers will gradually come to an end this evening and tonight. Expect lows in the middle 30s tonight.

Thursday will feature a few passing clouds, otherwise, intervals of sunshine. Highs will reach the middle 50s on Thursday and Friday. We’ll have an increase in sunshine on Friday, with highs in the middle 50s. The weekend is looking warmer, with lower 60s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday. Look for lows to dip into the lower 30s both Thursday night and Friday night.
