Good Friday afternoon! It has turned out to be a nice spring preview again today, with temperatures reaching well into the lower 70s. With lots of sunshine and a south breeze, conditions feel more like March. Temperatures won’t drop as low tonight, with lows in the lower 50s. Clouds will increase tonight.

The weekend will feature mild temperatures, but a few showers will arrive on Sunday. The best chance of showers on Sunday will be along and north of I-20, so take the umbrella if you have outdoor plans. Highs will reach the lower 70s on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday through Wednesday will feature a slow moving upper air trough and surface low. Expect periods of rain on Monday and Tuesday, with most areas picking up over 1″ to 2″ of rain. We’ll watch this setup carefully incase of a flooding risk. At this time, models suggest flooding will be unlikely.
