Good Tuesday afternoon! We’ve enjoyed some sunshine today across Alabama, but a cold front tracking through the state will drop temperatures a good bit tonight, with upper 30s across the area. At 5pm, a few light showers were tracking southeast across the northern half of Alabama, but not everyone is getting rain out of this front.

Temperatures will be near average on Wednesday with a high near 60. Areas north of I-20 will top out in the 50s on Wednesday. Expect a return of sunshine Wednesday morning, with mostly sunny skies through Saturday. The upper air trough will be moving out quickly this week, allowing for a warming trend. We’ll reach the upper 60s on Thursday and lower 70s on Friday. Lows at night will modify into the 50s this weekend.

Clouds will increase by Saturday evening and become mostly cloudy on Sunday. As a weak surface front drifts in from the north, showers will become possible Sunday evening, especially on Monday. Temperatures will drop into the 50s for highs early next week.
