4pm Radar Update: Heavy Rain & Storms Continue… #alwx @wvua23

Warnings_1059 (3).JPG

At 4pm, a large area of heavy rain and storms continue to track eastward across Alabama. At this time, we have had no severe weather issues across central or west Alabama. Any tornadic issues have been confined to areas south of Butler, Thomasville and Camden, as that’s where the highest instability has been located. Areas near Marion to Selma to Montgomery is still in a low risk of isolated severe storms over the next few hours, but that risk will quickly end this evening from west to east.

The heavy rain and storms will end gradually this evening from west to east; in-fact, rain is alread ending near the state line. I expect all of west Alabama, west of I-65 to dry out by 9pm this evening, and east Alabama to dry out by midnight.
