Winter Weather Advisory for Friday For Some Areas… #alwx @wvua23

Warnings_1060.JPG

Good Thursday afternoon! The National Weather Service has issued areas roughly near and north of I-20 under a winter weather advisory for Friday afternoon through Friday night. This includes Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, Talladega, Clay County and points north. In this zone, snow showers could produce a small accumulation, generally under 1″. It’s possible that heavier snow bursts put down over 1″ of snow across portions of north Alabama. Areas to the south of the winter weather advisory will likely see some snow flurries Friday afternoon through Friday night, but accumulations are not expected at this time.

There could be some isolated icy spots on the bridges Friday night, so use caution if traveling in the winter weather advisory area, mainly after sunset.
