THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA
WEST FLORIDA PANHANDLE
SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
SOUTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI
COASTAL WATERS

* EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING FROM 630 PM
UNTIL 300 AM CST.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE…
A FEW TORNADOES LIKELY WITH A COUPLE INTENSE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

SUMMARY…NNE-SSW ORIENTED SQUALL LINE WITH EMBEDDED SUPERCELLS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EAST ACROSS WATCH AREA THROUGH EARLY
FRIDAY…WHILE MORE SCATTERED STORMS FORM AHEAD OF LINE AND MOVE
NORTHEAST INTO SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI…ALABAMA…AND THE FLORIDA
PANHANDLE. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD YIELD TORNADOES…IN ADDITION
TO DAMAGING WIND AND OCCASIONAL HAIL.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 100 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF
TROY ALABAMA TO 25 MILES WEST OF NEW ORLEANS LOUISIANA. FOR A
