Hot Days Ahead With Low Humidity… Few Storms Late Next Week… Friday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

sevenday_640

Good Friday afternoon! With the lack of high humidity today, it feels great! Of course, air temperatures are still hot this afternoon, but dewpoints are incredibly low for this time of the year. A deep eastern US trough has allowed a rare summer cold front or surface front to bring drier air into the state. Temperatures tonight and Saturday night will fall into the 60s. Expect highs to rebound into the middle or upper 90s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Moisture levels will come back up early next week, and I can’t rule out an afternoon storm by Tuesday and Wednesday. As another frontal boundary moves into the area on Thursday and Friday, expect an increase in shower and thunderstorm changes.

The tropics remain quiet…

It’s the dog days of summer, and we want to see how your dog is staying cool in the heat! Send us your pet pics and we will show them on WVUA at 5, 6 and 10pm starting Monday. Here’s how to send below…
