Sunny and Cool Weekend… Saturday Forecast Update — 8:15pm

Good evening Tuscaloosa!  Autumn has arrived in the deep South this weekend, despite the full sunshine this afternoon, temperatures didn’t make it out of the 60s for Central Alabama. Temperatures will drop well into the 40s tonight across Central Alabama. Many will be in the low 40s tonight, and for the northern portions of the area, the upper 30s are even possible with a very dry air mass in place tonight.

As the wind direction shift to a southerly flow, temperatures on Sunday will warm into the mid 70s for many with plenty of sunshine to finish out the weekend. The warming trend continues into the beginning of the week before another bit of energy brings clouds and some scattered storms through Alabama Monday evening through Tuesday. Temperatures on Monday will be around the 80° mark.

The second half of the work week looks mainly sunny and dry. Temperatures will remain warm in the low to mid 80s throughout the work week with low temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. Some more rain chances could be cropping back up as we head into next weekend, but we will continue to keep an eye on those chances as the time approaches.

The Tropics continue to remain quiet.
