Light Snow in West AL… Thursday Update – 3pm
February 6, 2014 Leave a comment
At 3pm, we’ve got light snow falling across much of west Alabama. Snow is sticking on the grassy areas of Sumter, Marengo and Greene County. There’s a chance up to an inch could fall there before melting this afternoon. Light snow is falling as far north as Gordo and Tuscaloosa.
Unlike last week’s event, the snow won’t last long. The back edge will reach the west Alabama state line by 5pm and pass east of I-65 by 6pm. A quick dusting to 1 inch is possible south of I-20. Once the snow stops this evening, it will quickly melt off. Isolated slick spots are possible on roads, especially south of I-20.
