Finally Some Sunshine by Tomorrow Afternoon! – Monday Evening Forecast Update 9:20 PM

There is finally some sunshine at the end of this rainy period we’ve been dealing with over the last 5 days. After some morning showers tomorrow morning, we should see some sun return by as early as 10 or 11 AM! High pressure settles in from the north throughout tomorrow, and the sky should go clear by tomorrow night. Temperatures should drop into the lower 30s for most spots, but a few areas could see upper 20s!

By Wednesday and into Thursday, this high pressure will remain anchored just to our north. This will give us lots of sunshine and chily nights both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings where temperatures will drop into the upper 20s area-wide. Hlowever, some more changes begin happening as we head towards late week.

Remarkably, I’m seeing very good model agreement concerning this next system. Rain will spread in from the south Friday evening and likely become widespread Saturday as a surface low pressure system begins organizing near our area. Depending on this low track, some instability could be involved over south Alabama at least and the potential for thunderstorms will also be in the forecast. For now, just a soaking rain is expected up our way with no severe weather chances as the air will be too stable. We will however watch trends to see if any unstable air tries to work its way north, so for now any isolated severe weather chances should remain confined to coastal areas of Alabama into the adjacent portions of the Florida Panhandle.

Strong high pressure looks like it will be on the heels of this low pressure system, so sunshine should return by Sunday but highs will only mange the upper 40s after morning lows in the 20s!
