Great Start to the Week…Rain on Wednesday – Monday Forecast Update – 4:35pm

Good Monday afternoon! Today has been a great spring day, with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Sunny skies, dry air and a light breeze has made for nearly perfect weather. Due to a dry airmass overhead now, temperatures will drop into the lower 50s. It won’t get as cool as lastnight, due to some clouds overnight tonight. Our weather will remain dry through tonight.

Tuesday is looking very nice, as highs reach the upper 70s. Some spots south of I-20 could reach the 80 degree mark. As moisture levels increase, we’ll notice an increase in clouds through the day on Tuesday. A cold front will move into Alabama on Wednesday, which will bring the risk of rain and a few thunderstorms. I don’t expect rain all day on Wednesday, but you will need the rain gear from time to time. Highs will reach the lower 70s on Wednesday. Dry air will then take over Wednesday night, with skies becoming clear. It will get rather chilly Wednesday night and Thursday night, with lows in the upper 40s. Daytime temperatures will rebound into the middle 70s on Thursday and Friday. With a dry airmass, conditions will feel nice both days.

Another cold front will reach Alabama over the weekend, but this front will likely stall out over the area. This will bring the risk of scattered, mainly afternoon storms both Saturday and Sunday. I do not expect rain all weekend…
