Warmer Days Ahead… Tuesday Afternoon Forecast Update – 5pm

Sevenday_640

Good Tuesday afternoon! The northern half of Alabama has stayed in the clouds for much of the day, keeping temperaturse a tad cooler than yesterday. As of 5pm, most of central and west Alabama is in the 40s, with upper 30s in northeast Alabama. Temperatures will gradually cool again tonight after sunset, especially as skies go clear. Most of Alabama us under a freeze warning for tonight, as our area is expected to dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s.

After today’s very cold weather, a gradual warming trend takes over for the rest of the week and into the weekend. While I don’t expect hot weather, it will beat what we have now… Highs will top out in the upper 50s on Wednesday, with lows in the lower 30s Wednesday night. We can expect a good supply of sun on Wednesday and Thursday. Some extra clouds will start to spread in on Friday and Saturday. As a south wind develops, temperatures will start to modify on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with highs into the upper 60s to around 70. Lows at night will also modify to temperatures well above freezing. Look for lows in the 40s by Friday and Saturday morning and 50s by Sunday morning.

Easter weekend is looking warmer, but there is also some rain chances to talk about. While I don’t expect rain all weekend, parts of the weekend will bring on some chance of rain. The best risk of rain will occur on Easter Sunday. As the cold front stalls across our area, it looks like a few showers will be possible at anytime through Tuesday.
