Nice Sunday Ahead of More Rain Chances – Saturday 8:10 p.m.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. Today we have seen a mix of rain and snow across much of the state. In fact there have been some areas to see a dusting of snow on the ground. This time last year we were talking about temperatures in the 80s and now…struggling to get into the 40s in the afternoon.

We can look forward to a beautiful Sunday ahead but a cool day. Clouds should clear out overnight leaving us with mostly clear skies for our Sunday. Temperatures however are not expected to get out of the 40s across most of the area. We should start out the day with a cold 27 degrees then warm to the upper 40s.

Clouds start moving in again Monday as does some warmer temperatures. A warm front will begin to push north from the gulf coast bringing with it addition moisture and pushing temperatures toward the middle 60s. Rain chances will begin to increase overnight as the warm front begins to push through the area.

Tuesday we have an increased chance of showers and possible a thunderstorm or two as a cold front moves through right behind the warm front. Cooler air is right behind it but models indicate that the moisture will be out of here before the cold air really gets into place.

Once the rain moves out the remainder of the week looks to be mostly clear with temperatures climbing each day ending up in the 70s by the weekend.
