Severe Weather Is Moving Out – 8:25 PM Monday Update

Here’s the latest look from Home Team Interactive Radar. The squall line is now well east of Tuscaloosa, Fayette, Gordo, Livingstin, Linden and Demopolis. The line has really picked up an eastward progression over the past couple of hours. Now, the severe weather threat is happening right now or will happen soon for places like Selma, Clanton, Centreville, and Anniston. The main threat is from damaging strait line winds and large hail. While places east of the line are still under a tornado watch, I really think the tornado threat is low. There’s still a lot of lightning, so stay indoors if you’re near a storm.

Rain is still falling over much of west Alabama, but the rain will be coming to an end over the next hour or so for many neighborhoods.

Be sure to join me on WVUA-TV tonight at 10 for the latest. Have a great evening!
