Forecast Discussion Update 4/16 – 4:00 PM

The weekend is here and our weather forecast is looking pretty good. There will be some changes as a refreshing shot of cool/dry air arrives. At the moment a cold front is moving our way and this boundary should drop into northern Alabama by sunrise. The sky will remain partly cloudy through midnight, with lows in the 50s. We will also have a southwest breeze through midnight. Tomorrow the winds will become northwest after the front pushes through our area. We will have a chance for isolated showers during the day, with high temperatures in the 70s. Lows tomorrow night will be in the 40s. If you’re heading to the big A-Day game don’t be surprised if you encounter a few sprinkles. Any stray shower that does pop-up should move along fairly quickly. By the way, don’t forget about our live A-Day special airing from noon until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Beyond tomorrow, dry weather will be the story through the end of next week. We will have seasonal temperatures on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Highs will be in the 70s, with lows in the chilly 40s. There may be some clouds on Tuesday in response to a disturbance over northern Florida. Otherwise, our weather forecast looks mostly sunny through much of next week. Be sure to join us tonight for our complete seven day forecast…Have a great weekend!
