Saturday Morning Weather Update – 11:15 am

A good Saturday to you! What a wonderful weekend it is turning out to be around here, with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s. This nice spring like weather will continue through next week. A summer-like ridge will pump into the southeast, which will bring us some toasty weather by the mid portion of next week.

Cool weather can be expected tonight, as lows reach the lower 40s. We have a lot of dry air in place, which is allowing for such a big swing in our temperatures. Dry air heats and cools much more effectively than moist air does. As moisture slowly increases early next week, we can expect a gradual warm-up into the 50s at night. High temperatures gradually increase as well. Expect highs in the lower to middle 80s by the mid portion of next week. Sunny skies continue as well. As a surface high sets up to our southeast, we will get a surface flow out of the south. This will increase moisture and make conditions feel rather muggy late in the week.
