Saturday Evening Weather Discussion: Posted at 9:59 p.m.

A good Saturday evening to you! The weather was rather blustery today, but despite the windy conditions, temperatures reached the lower 70s in many locations. Tonight, lows will reach the middle 30s. Expect some patchy frost early. Cooler temperatures will be around on Sunday, as highs top out near 63 degrees. We will deal with maximum sunshine through out the day. On Monday, highs will make it into the upper 60s. More sunny weather can be expected.

Tuesday will become rather cloudy late in the day, with a good chance for showers and storms late in the day; highs will be in the upper 60s. The good chance of rain will continue on through Wednesday, but Thursday will be a drier day, as we’ll be in between systems. There’s still a chance for rain in the forecast, but don’t expect much. As the stronger of the two storm systems move in on Friday, we’ll see a really good shot of rainfall, along with much colder weather once a cold front moves through early on Friday. Highs will top out in the lower 60s, but it will be breezy day. Saturday will be really a raw day, as highs only reach the upper 50s. Again, we’ll see a blustery northwest wind. This will spell out a chilly forecast for the Alabama vs. Mississippi State game next Saturday.

There is a major hurricane spinning away over Cuba tonight. Hurricane Paloma made landfall as a category 4 hurricane on the south coast of Cuba. This is one of many storms that have battered the Cuba coastline this hurricane season. Fortunately, Paloma will be moving away from the US mainland, so there are no worries of this system moving in our direction. Be sure to join us tonight at 10 p.m. for the latest on your weather. Have a great day!
