Saturday Afternoon Weather Discussion

I hope you are having a great Saturday! Today was very nice, with highs in the upper 60s. Also, there were blue bird skies around. It would be nice if the weather would stay like this for a while, but there are changes about to take place. First, there is a cold front about to push into the state, but there is very dry air in place, so don’t expect any rain with this feature; this will bring us slightly cooler temperatures, with highs tomorrow in the lower 60s. There will be plenty of sunshine around for tomorrow. Once the wind goes calm for tomorrow night, temperatures will drop off into the lower 30s, but there will be a very nice recovery in temperatures by Monday afternoon; highs will be in the middle 60s. We will see an increase in clouds on Monday, ahead of our next system, which is due in here Tuesday night. There is a small chance that we could see a strong storm or two Tuesday night, but those chances are looking very small at this time. Be sure you stay with us incase things do chance, but either way, there is a good chance for rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning; that is great news if we can see plenty of rain without the severe weather.

We begin to temporarily dry out by Wednesday afternoon, with cooler temperatures around; highs will be in the middle 50s. Things will quickly change by Thursday, with a warm high of 65 expected. Our next opportunity for rain will come on Friday and Saturday, with a 30% chance; highs both days will be in the middle 60s. Winter isn’t over yet, so we will likely deal with more cold snaps before the season ends. I’ve had several folks ask if the cold weather is gone. As of now, the long range data is not hinting at any big surges of cold temperatures, but if we see something, we will let you know. Have a great day!
