Sunday Afternoon Weather Discussion

A happy Sunday to you! Today was another very nice day across the state, but unfortunately, this is going to be the last fall-like day for us. Tonight, the humidity will slowly make a return, with lows in the upper 50s. Now, you are really going to notice a difference in our weather pattern tomorrow; highs will be in the upper 80s, with lots of moisture in place, setting us up for more of a summer-time routine.

We will introduce a chance of rain in our forecast on Tuesday; highs are going to be in the middle 80s, with a 30% chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This will really be the case over the next few days; there is a cold front that is going to washout just to our northwest; that, along with a surge of Gulf moisture from the south, will really help things get unstable enough to spark off some showers and thunderstorms. Highs over the next 5 days will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Our forecast really gets interesting this weekend. On Friday, we will be watching the advancement of a powerful cold front. It looks like this front will blast through here sometime Friday Night or early Saturday Morning. Of course, things could still chance in our forecast, so be sure to stay with us. Also, this weekend, some of the storms could be on the strong side. We are going to have to keep a close eye on things for this weekend, especially if you are planning to be out at the high school football games Friday Night. I am calling for a 50% chance of storms Friday and a 40% chance of mainly morning storms on Saturday. Then, then things will clear out by Sunday, with highs in the low 70s.

Be sure to tune in tonight at 10 p.m. for the latest in your weather forecast.
