Monday Morning Weather Update

Yesterday’s Rainfall Totals:
Tuscaloosa: 0.34”
Talladega: 0.05”
Birmingham: Trace
Montgomery: Trace
Centreville: Trace

We finally got to see some rain across portions of the state yesterday morning, but the totals we received were not all that impressive. Tuscaloosa was leading the chart with the most rainfall but that total is under a half an inch. The rain did not come close to becoming a drought-buster, but what little rain we did see helped settle some of the haze and dust in the atmosphere. Although we do not have much better news in our forecast, we may see an isolated shower or thunderstorm this afternoon; most of it will be confined to places south of Tuscaloosa. Then, it looks like we will go into another dry spell through the work-week, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures souring into the low 90s. We’ll have much more on our afternoon weather discussion, which will be posted on the blog by 4pm. Have a great day!
