Thursday Afternoon Forecast Discussion Update

Good Afternoon! It turned out to be another beautiful day for us, with a good dose of sunshine. It has been a little breezy and this is due to a rain-free front now pushing through the northeast corner of the state. This will keep our temperatures from getting too out of hand tomorrow, with highs back into the comfy middle 70s. Other than chilly mornings, the weather is going to be perfect for much of the weekend. Highs each day will be topping out near 80-degrees, with ample sunshine.

The A-Day game in Tuscaloosa will be kicking off Saturday at 1:05, with a temperature near 80-degrees. It will feel warmer in the stadium. Also, you may want to bring some sun protection. The same will go for the other events happening in the area such as the triathlon and the Crawfish Festival down in Faunsdale. It’s really going to feel nice tomorrow evening and you may want to take the kids down to Taylorville for the Carnival now underway. Needless to say, there is a lot happening this weekend and the weather will cooperate nicely! Sunday will be very similar, with lots of sunshine and highs near 80-degrees.

Monday we will set into a summer-like pattern, with a broad ridge of high pressure over the state. Each day will start off sunny, with partly cloudy skies developing as temperatures rise. The ridge may weaken enough to allow some isolated showers and thunderstorms to form on Tuesday. There will be a better chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Tune in tonight for more details!
