Wes, you have been in our thoughts and prayers over the past weeks. I know that you’ve been through tough times, and we’re glad to have you back. I know that when I go through some tough times, work is often an antidote for my recovery; I guess you could say that it helps take things off of our minds. I hope and pray for the best for you and your family. Take care!

Ok. Thanks for the report. The quickest way we know these things is if someone reports it. I'm sure the NOAA weather radio transmitter will be up and running soon. Take care!

Well that's good... no readings from the airport and no warnings for us here either. Way to go tax money!
BTW it's a Radio Shack Weatheradio Alert Model: 12-240

Hey... can you tell me why the weather service alarm hasn't gone off on my weather radio?
I have one of those old ones that go off for all of Tuscaloosa County... and surrounding counties. And it hasn't sounded for any of the watches or warnings today. It worked fine on Wednesday when they did their test.
I know you guys talk about being connected to the NWS on the air a lot... so can you ask them what's going on and post the information on here?
Thanks,
Concerned in Tuscaloosa

Big thanks to Storm Spotter Kirk Junkin...

Kirk reports urban flooding along 15th Street West of Queen City, along 359 north of Kaloosa, and University Boulevard. We measured about 2" of rain in a 1-hr period at the station in Tuscaloosa. Drive with caution and remember to turn around and don't attempt to cross water covered roads.
