Your new weather guy, Richard Scott, is great!I hope to see him on air more often. He’s got a great voice, knows the weather and nice looking!

Wes said on the news that in 1954 and one more year had 8 days of HEAT. In 2000, there were 16 days of heat. Can you please check that and correct if needed.

Hey Jennifer,
Be sure to check out the late night update. You are not the only viewer with this question and you are right. According to the data we did have 16 days in a row; however, the NWS ruled the 2000 data invalid due to the positioning of the sensor. That year, Tuscaloosa’s data was highly skewed when compared to other stations in Alabama.
