Chilly This Morning, Warmer This Afternoon... Thursday Morning Forecast Update - 10am

Good Thursday morning! How about a late summer morning, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s… The nice preview of fall continues this morning, as temperatures start off between 45 and 51. Tuscaloosa seems to be the warm spot in west and central Alabama at 51 for a low. Other reports coming in from all around west and central Alabama show upper 40s were very common. Some of the typical cooler spots like Hamilton and Haleyville made it into the middle 40s this morning.

Temperatures are warming fast this morning, and most spots will reach the lower 80s. It’s hard to keep the late September sun from warming the surface. Skies will remain completely sunny for the rest of the day. We’ll catch another cool night tonight, with lows in the lower 50s. There will likely be a few spots in the upper 40s again tonight. Temperatures will continue a warming trend through the weekend, with highs in the middle 80s on Friday and Saturday. Humidity will remain low, so mid 80s will feel nice.

Another shot of cooler air will arrive Saturday night. I don’t expect any rain ahead of the cold front due to the amount of dry air in place.
