Rain Ending Today… Nice Week Ahead! – Tuesday Morning Forecast Discussion – 11am
September 18, 2012 Leave a comment
Good Tuesday morning to you! As of 11am, rain is starting to end across northwest Alabama as a strong cold front moves into the area. Much of central and west Alabama is dealing with light to moderate rain, but there are no issues with severe weather; in-fact, there’s little to no lightning being reported across the area. Keep the rain gear through the early afternoon hours, but all of the rain should be out of here by 4pm. Any evening plans should go through without any issues with rain.
The coolest air so far this season will arrive tonight. Lows will fall into the lower 50s under a clear sky. I wouldn’t be shocked if a few upper 40s show up across our north Alabama Counties. Areas south of HWY 80 shouldn’t drop below 55 tonight. Skies will remain sunny for the rest of the week and into the weekend, with cool nights and very nice afternoons. Highs will stay in the middle to upper 70s on Wednesday, with a low in the upper 40s Wednesday night. Highs will gradually warm into the lower 80s for the rest of the week and into Saturday. Don’t forget that Saturday is the 1st day of fall. With low humidity, it sure looks like a nice day. Alabama plays at home, with a 4pm kickoff. We can expect dry weather for that game, with temperatures in the low 80s.
A second shot of cooler air should arrive on Sunday… More on your weekend forecast a little later today.
