Little Batch of Light Rain in Spots This Morning, Then, Mostly Dry Weather Expected Through Friday… – Thursday Update 9:20am

Good Thursday morning! As of 9am, most spots are rain free, but a small batch of light rain showers have developed over northwest Alabama. These showers are near and northwest of Reform, Gordo and Tuscaloosa. As the batch of showers move southeast, and some of us will get light rain for around 30 minutes this morning. I expect the rain to move southeast of I-20/59 after 11am or noon. The showers are weakening as they move south to southeast, no many spots to the south and east of Tuscaloosa will remain rain free.
Not everyone will get rain out of this, but don’t be shocked if you get a little light rain for half an hour. Look for a partly to mostly cloudy sky this morning, becoming partly to mostly sunny after lunch today. The risk of additional rain is low after lunch, but a few afternoon storms will pop up. Keep the umbrella handy incase a quick shower or storm pops up over your area.
Expect the same deal for Friday… Some sun and some clouds, with a low risk of isolated, mainly afternoon storms. If you get rain at your house, it won’t last long. Better rain chances will arrive on Saturday.
