Severe Weather Threat Diminishing – Thursday 8:45am

The Storm Prediction Center has shifted the latest Slight Risk forecast to the northeast. West Alabama is no longer included in the Slight Risk category. The area included begins with Jefferson and Walker counties and moves toward northeast Alabama. This does not mean that we will not see any severe weather here, it just means the threat has gone down a bit. A cap has formed over our area and that will keep the atmosphere from becoming too unstable, which is a key ingredient for severe storms.

Richard and I will be updating you throughout the day here and on WVUA.

Join us for your updated Home Team forecast tonight on WVUA at 4, 5, 6, an 10.
