Sunday Afternoon Weather Discussion

I hope that you are having a great Sunday! Today was certainly nice to head outdoors, with temperatures in the upper 70s. Most of the day was sunny, with only a few clouds passing by. Tonight will be chilly, as lows drop into the upper 40s; clear and calm conditions will be the forecast for tonight. After a cool start to your Monday, temperatures will make a very quick recovery; highs will be in the lower 80s. High pressure is going to be in control of our weather over the next few days, which will give us some nice and sunny weather. Once high pressure moves off to the east, we will get a southerly flow back along with some gulf moisture. In-fact, humid conditions will be the big story from Thursday through next Saturday. Also, very warm temperatures will be in your forecast, as highs approach the middle 80s for Wednesday and Thursday.

A disturbance will work its way in here on Thursday and Friday, which will help to spark off some afternoon showers and thunderstorms. I have a 30% chance for rain and storms both days. As the front works in here by Saturday, we will dry out, but temperatures will remain in the lower to middle 80s. Mostly sunny conditions will return on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to join us tonight at 10 p.m. for the latest on your forecast during our live newscast. Take care and have a great day!
