Saturday Afternoon Weather Discussion
April 19, 2008 Leave a comment
There was a lot going on today across west Alabama, with the Crawfish Festival in Faunsdale and the Triathlon here in Tuscaloosa. The weather was nearly perfect for these events. Highs today reached into the middle 70s, and with sunny skies, it felt even nicer. We are going to cool off quickly tonight, with lows back in the upper 40s, but it won’t last long. Sunny skies tomorrow will help heat us into the lower 80s by the afternoon hours. Temperatures will continue to be very warm through Monday and Tuesday, with highs closer to 85 degrees. Clouds will be on the increase on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of a decaying cold front. The front will stall out close by on Wednesday, which will enhance our shower and thunderstorm coverage by the afternoon hours; highs will be in the middle 80s. The front will wash out, and we will get into a summer type of routine, with scattered storms each afternoon from Thursday through next Saturday. Temperatures will remain very warm though next weekend, as highs will continue to be in the lower 80s. Be sure to join us tonight at 10 p.m. for the latest on your news, weather and sports. Have a great day!
