“The Planet Venus As Seen Above Tuscaloosa”
May 22, 2007 5 Comments
Professor Bill Keel from the University of Alabama Physics and Astronomy Department has sent us another great image of the heavens above! This image was taken above Tuscaloosa, Saturday night, as the Planet Venus and the Moon were in very close proximity. Hats off to Professor Keel for another awesome pic! Venus is seen to the left of the moon. Remember if you have a picture you want to send us, the address is wxpics@wvua7.com

-17.08 inches is the amount of rain we need to receive to get back to normal. We currently have 8.48 inches recorded at the Airport so please bring on the rain. I am headed to the beach this weekend and I will try to upload some new pictures when I get back. Have a great weekend and be safe!!

P.S. Anyone looking to sell any Hank Jr./Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets?
Yeah Steven, we need the rain badly, but it doesn’t look like we will be receiving any rainfall anytime soon. We are more than 17 inches behind what we should have this time of the year; I sure hope we get some rain soon! I actually spent last weekend at the beach; the weather sure was nice in Gulf Shores. Have a safe trip at the beach Steven.
